Dean Close Open Morning 13+/16+ entry is on Saturday 10 March, starts at 11am and comprises a Welcome from the Headmaster, a tour of the School and opportunities to chat with staff and pupils, concluding with refreshments and a light buffet lunch.  To register your interest, please call t 01242 258044.

Set on a beautiful 50-acre site near the centre of Cheltenham, Dean Close is a long-standing co-educational day and boarding school for pupils aged 2-18.  Education across all three Schools is as much about building character and relationships as it is about gaining knowledge, with the Christian heart of the School & its powerful tutorial system creating a warm and friendly atmosphere amongst staff and pupils. 

Dean Close is an incredibly busy place. In the Michaelmas term alone, chorister Laurence Kilsby co-starred alongside Lesley Garrett at the Royal Albert Hall and Birmingham Symphony Hall; Colts A rugby (U13) had an undefeated season; a team of mathematicians are through to the Senior Team Challenge National Finals in February following a regional win; two sell-out productions (Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Prep); Romeo & Juliet (Senior)) delighted audiences; the U16 netball team was crowned County Champions and is through to the Regionals; a whole school walk in the Black Mountains raised over £5k for Help for Heroes; Oxbridge and other university offers continue to flood in; a Classics trip to Greece and a ski trip are planned for Easter; all alongside the many and various daily activities across the Schools, both academic and co-curricular.

The Dean Close community is small enough to allow everyone to know each another, to feel valued and to get fully involved in School life.  At the same time, it is large enough to have an extremely strong boarding and day community, vibrant and exciting creative arts, impressive academic results and great sports results. Furthermore, the Dean Close community embraces everyone, not just pupils and staff.  There are plenty of clubs and activities which parents and Old Decanians get involved in too (Choral Society, Business Club and Hockey Club to name a few), making it a very special place.
