Book review: The White Witch of Spiton and the Stones of Destiny
Witch story continues Popular children’s author Tracey Rolfe continues her White Witch of Spiton series with her third book The Stones of Destiny. Tracey grew up in Cheshunt and then moved to Waltham Abbey and it was her love of Waltham Abbey and the magical little ‘White Witch’ shop that inspired her to create the character of teenage witch Isobel Ashwell and the little village of Spiton. In this latest book Isobel is magically transported back to the year 1066 where she is befriended by the newly crowned King Harold, who is convinced she is a lucky messenger sent by the gods, the keepers of the precious Stones of Destiny. When an enemy plans to overthrow Harold and take the stones, Isobel has to rescue him and save her country from evil. Tracey, now a full time author, is currently writing the fourth book in the series. The White Witch of Spiton and the Stones of Destiny by Tracey Rolfe; published by Jake Boy Publishing; priced £7.99; ISBN 9780955702020
