Mr Incredible mingled with the Tin Man and Bridget Jones rubbed shoulders with Batman at Duerr’s charity ball. The theme for the annual event held by the jam makers was Preserved on Film and partygoers got into the spirit by donning costumes of their favourite silver screen stars.
Guests were treated to a champagne reception, three course dinner, an auction and performances by the June Rendell Academy of Dance and Cheshire tenor Martin Toal sang.
The ball, held at The Point, raised £22,000 for Wythenshawe Hospital’s Neonatal Unit. The money will go towards the cost of essential equipment to provide a comfortable environment for parents and their premature babies.
Duerr’s has now raised more than £500,000 for charities since 2000.
