What could be more fun than getting in the spirit of the Royal Wedding with our fun William and Kate cocktails, whether you prefer a long or short drink there’s something for all and you can see who comes out on top in the taste test, King or Queen!
William’s cocktail is derived from the classic cocktail detailed in William Boothby’s 1891 manual. It has the intoxicatingly rich, classic Barceló Imperial at its helm and its caramel and vanilla tones are wonderfully offset by the dryness of the champagne. A classic blend of golden rum with vermouth makes this a Manhattan style drink, but it can also be enjoyed on the rocks too. Adding a few drops of The Bitter Truth Aromatic Bitters simply adds a twist of gingerbread flavour that makes this something special. This is a robust drink, masculine and classy with a modern twist – much like our prince.
THE WILLIAM
45ml Barceló Imperial Rum
20ml Sweet Vermouth
20ml Brut Champagne
2 dashes of The Bitter Truth Aromatic Bitters
Stir and serve in a Martini glass, topping up with Champagne, garnish with a delightful Maraschino Cherry.
Kate’s cocktail is quintessentially English, combining the best tastes of England; floral notes of Elderflower combined with the freshness of mint and cucumber. This is a twist on a modern drink called the English Garden Mojito. Hayman’s Old Tom Gin has a very distinctive flavour, made in the style of Gin from the late 19th century, it is botanically intensive and balanced by a light sweetness, top it off with champagne for a long drink which is refreshing, feminine and beautiful!

If you’re a no fuss drinker then the Wedding March Cocktail is for you, this is a straight classic which is served as an aperitif.
The creamy taste of Barceló Gran Anejo Rum combines deliciously with the zesty lime citrusy flavour in this drink. It sits deftly between a daiquiri and a sour and is definitely best served before food. It is elegant, light and fizzes playfully on the tongue.
