Pudding, the luxury lingerie salon based in King’s Walk, Reading, has been named as the runner up in the prestigious ‘UK Lingerie Retailer of the Year’ Awards.

Known for their expert fitting and stunning designs, Pudding was the only store in the country to receive the accolade of ‘highly commended’ from the judges, putting them in second place for the second year running, ahead of all other independent lingerie boutiques and several major department stores in the UK.

Naturally, owners Paul and Helen Masters were very happy. Helen said: “We’re delighted to have been named as being in the top two lingerie retailers in the UK in the Drapers’ awards. Beating so many other stores is a tremendous accolade.”

The Lingerie Retailer of the Year accolade is one of a growing list of awards won by Pudding in the FOUR years since it opened  in Reading, starting with ‘Britain’s Best New Lingerie Shop’ in 2007. In recent months Pudding have received two UK wide accolades, having also been a finalist in the UK Best Shop Awards in the category of ’Best Concept Store 2011’. 

The salon and online store have proved a real hit with customers in the UK and abroad thanks to a unique offering of exclusive brands, a wide size range, and an expert fitting service that has led to 90% of customers coming out in a different size and looking totally transformed. It has built up a strong following as a result of the tailored gift buying service – customers pop in for a free fitting; create a gift list and simply point friends and family towards the Pudding salon to let the lingerie experts on hand do the rest.
