The Devon Life Design Awards, in association with the Devon Design Guild, has been created to highlight the design projects that you have undertaken on your properties. These awards are all about celebrating your vision in seeing through a project to its successful completion – and
rewarding you for all your hard work. Plus, winning projects will be featured in future issues of Devon Life.

 The Categories

• Best Bathroom

• Best Living Space

(includes dining room)

• Best Kitchen

• Best use of Light (natural or artificial)

• Best Outside Space

• Best Restoration

• Best New Home (new home or conversion, complete transformationof property, or substantial construction add-on)

The Prizes

Category winners will received £900 worth of vouchers to spend with members of Devon Design Guild. In addition, an overall award for excellence and £500 cash will be presented to one of the winners of the above categories.

How does it work?

As you can see, there are a number of different Categories you can enter. For example, one of them is ‘Best Bathroom’, so if you have just completed a great new bathroom, and you believe its major feature is the lighting installed, then enter it both under ‘Best Bathroom’ and ‘Best use of Light’. Similarly, if you have just created a fantastic new kitchen, which also had elements of restoration, then enter it in two Categories: ‘Best Kitchen’ and ‘Best Restoration’. We know some projects may have a high spend, and some not so high; don’t be put off, as this doesn’t matter. The judges are looking for innovation, creativity, best use of space or colour…in fact, a whole host of different criteria as detailed below.
