A Smart New Thatch for Partridge Farmhouse!

12th March 2011 14:17:10

What wonderfully mild weather we have been having at last! The warm sunshine has meant that our thatcher Ian Bostridge has been able to take off the covers to reveal the smart new thatch underneath. The front of the house is looking really smart and the back has started to take shape too. Even the Partridge Farm cat was so impressed he had to climb right up onto the ridge to take a closer look!! Ian has had a lot of work to contend with on our roof whilst carrying out the re-thatch on our farmhouse, but nothing has phased him and he has carried out a very thorough and professional job, making the thatch look amazing!

Lambing has finally finished and all the ewes and their lambs are now out in the field enjoying the freedom to run about and eat the green Devon grass!! They are watched over by our Alpacas in the field nextdoor and with envy by the cattle from their yard!
