Ermintrude & Piglets have an early morning adventure & another Oxford Down Lamb is born!

23rd January 2011 15:49:00

As we celebrated being here at Partridge Farm for a whole exciting year on Saturday morning, Ermintrude our Gloucestershire Old Spot Sow decided to celebrate in her own way too by breaking out of her pen in the farrowing hut and wandering off with her piglets in tow to the nextdoor field and happily turning a large patch of fresh grass over!! She was a little reluctant to come back to her pen but was soon persuaded with a bucket of chopped apples and all her piglets followed happily behind!!

Both Oxford Down Lambs are doing well, bucking around their pens and causing their mums trouble! We are now waiting patiently for the next lamb to be born!
