Frogs & Toads at Partridge Farm!!

9th February 2011 08:43:17

I had to post these photos today as i could hardly believe my eyes yesterday when i walked past the pond and thought i could see all the leaves blowing across it when actually what was really there was hundreds and i mean hundreds of frogs and toads!! Of course by the time i had gone inside and back out again with the camera, i had disturbed them and had to wait an age for them to pop their heads back up to the surface again. But, it was definately worth the wait. The pond is now full of frogspawn, fingers crossed it all remains safe and soon we will have more frogs and toads!!!

The ewes have been busy in the barn over the last week, and we now have 14 Oxford Down lambs, there have been a couple needing bottles but apart from that all are doing exceptionally well and desperate to get out onto the field with their Mums!

The butchery is amost finished, the fridges, freezers are all running all that is needed now is the floor to be finished and equipment to be bought. The barn is almost up and the thatch is looking stunning, i get a peek every now and again when the tarps are taken off and now cannot wait to see the final finished roof!!
