Finally joined in with social networking ...

I have to admit that so far I've only dipped the end of a toe in the water as far as networking sites are concerned. But now my four year old has her own email address I felt that perhaps I'm starting to get left behind in the technology world.

I've attended a course on website promotion because I designed and produced my own. I only have a fixed budget for advertising as most small companies do, so to make it go further I thought this was a useful skill to learn and develop.

Some would say that the website is the most important means of marketing and that I should spend all my budget on that, but the dilemma is that I still believe in the power of the periodicals and a copy a magazine like Somerset Life has longevity in hotels, restaurants and waiting rooms.

So I guess I'm trying to get the balance right, and I do hope I'll have time to update all these networking sites or learn a clever way of doing them all at once! Perhaps I'll ask my daughter...
