After receiving hundreds of submissions and short-listing fifteen artists, the judges of Exeter Contemporary Open 2011 have announced that the overall winner of the £1000 prize was Laura Philips.

Carry On Hamlet

I went to see Hamlet for the first time last weekend at the Northcott Theatre by touring company, Icarus. A rather melodramatic performance overshadowed some of the more subtle parts by the supporting cast, but on the whole I enjoyed the show.
