Treasure Island at the Watermill
December 9th 2010
Avast, ye landlubbers! The Watermill's winter offering of Treasure Island is a triumph of foot-tapping music, a great story, a cracking heroine and some astonishingly hairy wigs.
Review of Alan Bennett's 'Single Spies' at the Watermill
October 14th 2010
‘Single Spies’ brings together two marvellous Alan Bennett plays - An Englishman Abroad, and A Question of Attribution. Sparkling but rather strange to our 21st century sensibilities, it's also quite an early finish - around 9.30 - so still time to get home before Spooks ends.

Barbara Taylor Bradford interview last week
October 11th 2010
Do you know, I WAS nervous in the end - as her car swept in to the car park I did wonder if the Queen of the Feisty Heroine would find me a bit parochial. Well, if she did, you'd never have guessed, and this interview turned out to be one of the Book Club highlights.

Giffords Circus - fab
September 2nd 2010
Charming, quirky, old-fashioned, funny – just lovely. Just walking up to the weeny Big Top was fun, with the gold and burgundy caravans and the barrel organ playing away. And the circus itself was unlike anything I've ever seen - in a good way.
