Travel 6,000 years back in time, become an archaeologist in the English Civil War, learn some Latin lingo and join Mr Toad and his friends for a Summer Fete!
These are just some of the fantastic, fun filled activities transforming the River & Rowing Museum into an action-packed learning space for children and families this summer.
RRM Funtime is also back this summer, bringing together a range of interesting, fun and inspiring activities in the Museums Kirkham Gallery for children over the summer holiday season. The gallery will be filled with exciting, hands on, interactive things to do, from craft activities and dressing up, to building, investigating and excavating.
Adults and parents can also enjoy the Museum's permanent galleries and temporary exhibitions - including Wind in the Willows, as well as the Museum shop and terrace caf - a perfect place to relax in the Museum's beautiful riverside setting. The Museum has teamed up with the Henley Festival to provide a special series of lunchtime music showcases in the beautiful glass fronted Thames room on the first Sunday of every month. Music will be played between 12 - 12.30pm, followed by lunch. Full details available at rrm.co.uk
Visitors can use the Museum all year round for the price of just one ticket. Each admission ticket provides FREE, unlimited entry to the Museum for 12 months from the date of the original purchase, providing great value for all the family. Tickets are 7.50 per adult and 5.50 per child over four years old. Children under four go free. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
