We’ve gathered some eggs-ellent and egg-citing events for kids and families in Norfolk for the Easter holidays
• Easter woodland and waterside walks (5-22 Apr)
Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden, South Walsham
A fortnight of family Easter scavenger hunts runs from April 6-22 at Fairhaven Woodland and Water Gardens. Fit as many tiny objects as you can into a small container. 10am-5pm. Included in admission.
An Easter Egg hunt on Good Friday, April 19, 11am-4pm is the chance to scour the garden for colourful eggs. The day also includes face painting and crafts for children. £2.50 extra per child for Easter egg trail, book online.
Take a walk on the wild side with wildlife warden Trevor Taberham, 9-10.30am, on Friday, April 5. Booking essential. Included in entry price.
Enjoy a magical dawn boat trip to get extra-close to the wildlife. Hear the dawn chorus from 6.15am on Saturday, April 6, and tuck into a cooked breakfast afterwards. £14 adults, £9.50 children. Booking essential.

Amazona Zoo, Hall Road, Cromer
Amazona Zoo is home to more than 200 tropical animals including birds of prey, jaguars, pumas, ocelots, monkeys, snakes, caimans, flamingos, tapirs, and a toucan.
It also has a guinea pig village, tunnelling leaf cutter ants, indoor and outdoor play areas – and an Easter egg for every child on Easter Sunday.

• Cedric’s Bunny Burrow Eggs-pedition (5-22 Apr)
BeWILDerwood, Horning Road, Hoveton
Cedric the Easter bunny is inviting kids throughout the Easter holidays to join him and the Pesky Bunnies for an adventure around BeWILDerwood for an Easter egg hunt, face painting, storytelling and much more.
• Easter Eggspress (6-22 Apr)
Aylsham & Wroxham train stations
All aboard for Bure Valley Railway’s Easter Eggspress trail with a free Easter egg for all children participating. There will be colouring activities and the Whistlestop Café will be seasonally decorated.
No pre-booking required, just arrive 15 minutes before train departure time
• Easter Duck Trail (6-22 Apr)
WWT Welney, Hundred Foot Bank, Welney nr Wisbech
Children will be delighted while exploring Welney Wetland Centre in search of the lost yellow ducks. Other activities include pond dipping, bird watching from the hide or trying your hand at arts and crafts in the pond room. Duck Trail and activities included in admission price.

• Easter Eggstravaganza (6-22 Apr)
Pensthorpe Natural Park
Kids can explore Pensthorpe Natural Park for the Easter egg treasure hunt and Easter-themed craft activities. Each day, staff will hide ONE golden egg in a different location each day which will require family teamwork to find.

• Easter Eggstravaganza at Wroxham Barns (6-22 Apr)
Tunstead Road, Hoveton
What could be more Easter-y than bottle-feeding lambs and interacting with all the animals of Junior Farm at Wroxham Barns? There will be lots to do at the Barns this Easter from mini golf to pottery painting.

• Go Wild at Easter (6-22 Apr)
RSPB Strumpshaw Fen Nature Reserve, Low Road, Strumpshaw
Strumpshaw Fen Nature Reserve will be putting on an Easter Trail through its pretty Discovery Zone with a small prize for everyone taking part. The event is a “drop in” style event with plenty of hands-on activities to try.
10am to 5pm. Adults £4.50, children (5-17 years) £2.50
• Egg-cellent Easter (8-22 Apr)
Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure, Morton Lane, Lenwade
An Alice in Wonderland-themed Easter event has been planned at Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure. Escape from the Queen of Hearts, have tea with the Mad Hatter and meet the real White Rabbit.

• Easter Basket Craft (Wed 10 Apr)
Whitlingham Country Park, Trowse, Norwich
Fans of arts and crafts will love making mini Easter baskets (including mini eggs) from willow whips, dogwood stems and bramble runners.
For children (accompanied by adult) aged 6+. Adults £6, children £5 (under 16)
• Norfolk Spring Fling (Thu 11 Apr)
Norfolk Showground, Norwich
One of the county’s biggest family Easter event, the Norfolk Spring Fling, celebrates 20 years with its biggest ever line-up of activities and events at the Norfolk Showground on Thursday 11 April.
Event attractions include rare breeds, lamb feeding, fly-fishing, bird of prey shows, exotic animals, science experiments, horse braiding, animal handling, rescue demonstrations, sausage and ice cream making, tractor and trailer rides, storytelling, sheep dog displays, farmers’ market and the ever-popular dancing sheep in the Sheep Show.
Tickets are £9.50. Under 2s are free. Parking is free. Tickets only available online
• Nelson’s Journey Easter Egg Hunt (Sun 14 Apr)
Barningham Hall, Matlaske
There will be eggs hidden all around the grounds of country house Barningham Hall that’s nestled in the beautiful Norfolk countryside. There will be refreshments and arts and crafts activities. There will be a mini farm animal petting area, fete games, face painting and much more – and all in aid of Nelson’s Journey charity offering bereavement services for children and young people. Each child will receive a full sized Easter egg at the end of the trail.

• Pleasure Beach Easter fireworks (Wed 17 Apr)
Pleasure Beach, S Beach Parade, Great Yarmouth
After a day of fun at Pleasure Beach, look to the skies for 8.30pm, when there will be Easter fireworks lighting up the skies.
Entry is free, but if you want to go on rides before fireworks, tokens can be purchased
• Cadbury Easter Hunt (20-22 Apr)
Oxburgh Hall, King’s Lynn
Follow the Easter hunt at beautiful stately home Oxburgh Hall before claiming your Cadbury chocolate prize at the end. Garden games and choir performances are also on during the weekend.
