Don't be fooled by the modest appearance of this little blue restaurant on the North Norfolk coast, because its classic fish and chips are not to be missed. The staff at Mary Janes have been serving the people of Cromer (and its many visitors) for over fifty years.

Owned by Michelin starred chef Galton Blackiston, No1 in Cromer offers two different types of dining: a top notch fish and chip shop below a renowned seafood restaurant. As well as offering classic dishes such as haddock and chips, they've also added their own international twist to the menu with dishes such as smoked haddock and mussel chowder and prawn and mussel laksa.
Tuck into a hearty Cromer crab burger or try the homemade Norfolk ice cream (made with milk sourced from the nearby Lakenham Creamery) while enjoying views over the beach and Cromer Pier.

The Sheringham Trawler is a restaurant that really lives up to its name due to its cute and kitsch nautical décor and, more importantly, its wide selection of fish. There is something for everyone, with gluten-free options, homemade burgers and mixed salads and it prides itself on a family-friendly approach.
The excellent customer service and tasty food has earned it rave reviews and is often one of the busiest places in town.
Drove Orchards, Thornham Road, Thornham
Voted one of the top 20 shops in the National Fish & Chip Awards 2018, Eric's Fish and Chips in the pretty North Norfolk coastal village of Thornham serves beer battered fish and beef dripping chips along side some inventive extras such as gruyere and spinach arancini or black pudding fritters.
