Grosvenor Fish Bar

The Grosvenor Fish Bar has been a much-loved resident of Pottergate for over thirty years but is far from the average chippy. As well as serving all the favourites, the menu at Grosvenor's includes some unique dishes such as garlic squid rings with aioli, tuna steak rolls served with wasabi mayo, and a seabass wrap with a tangy mango salsa.

Mary Janes

27-29 Garden Street, Cromer

Don't be fooled by the modest appearance of this little blue restaurant on the North Norfolk coast, because its classic fish and chips are not to be missed. The staff at Mary Janes have been serving the people of Cromer (and its many visitors) for over fifty years.

The place is a perfect example of the phrase 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it', offering an opportunity to enjoy the classic fish and chip shop atmosphere while enjoying delicious dishes that have stood the test of time.


1 New Street, Cromer

Owned by Michelin starred chef Galton Blackiston, No1 in Cromer offers two different types of dining: a top notch fish and chip shop below a renowned seafood restaurant. As well as offering classic dishes such as haddock and chips, they've also added their own international twist to the menu with dishes such as smoked haddock and mussel chowder and prawn and mussel laksa.

Tuck into a hearty Cromer crab burger or try the homemade Norfolk ice cream (made with milk sourced from the nearby Lakenham Creamery) while enjoying views over the beach and Cromer Pier.

Voted one of the top 20 shops in the National Fish & Chip Awards 2018, Eric's Fish and Chips in the pretty North Norfolk coastal village of Thornham serves beer battered fish and beef dripping chips along side some inventive extras such as gruyere and spinach arancini or black pudding fritters.

Eric's is owned by Eric, head chef at Titchwell Manor who blends "nostalgia with a modern European menu influence", all served in a stylish and modern shop. Keep an eye on the Facebook page for Eric's new location in Holt.

11 Shirehall Plain, Holt

Situated in the charming village of Holt, the fish and chip shop has been praised by visitors and locals for its crunchy batter, reasonable prices and fish that melts in your mouth.
