The ultimate treat for January shoppers at Kent's leading shopping destination

Cadbury Cocoa House at Bluewater

If you love chocolate and shopping, there is real treat for all you January sales bargain hunters in Kent. Head for Bluewater and when you can shop no more, take a seat in the utterly divine Cadbury Cocoa House near the Water Circus pavilion and enter another world.

The company’s first flagship cocoa house, created by three British entrepreneurs, takes cues from the past as its inspiration for the future and most definitely lives up to its promise of bringing “affordable luxury and British nostalgia to the high street.”

As well as hot and chilled chocolate drinks, there are traditional afternoon teas served on a tiered silver stand, knickerbocker glories and quirky cakes, alongside classic British favourite lunches of Welsh rarebit and a tasty twist on the good old bacon butty.

A range of chocolate-infused ‘choc’tails’ and a choice of Champagnes by the glass are on offer if you’re feeling decadent.

The interior is stylish, glamorous and quirky: a 30-foot ice cream bar boasts a cracked caramel effect work-top, chocolate-coloured leather booths are studded with white faux-chocolate buttons and there’s a splendidly regal purple chair by the feature fireplace

Open: daily 10am-9pm for elevenses, afternoon tea, evening platters and everything in between.
