Metropole Bar, Hilton Brighton Metropole
The Metropole Bar has a bottomless brunch menu. The hotel in Kings Road offers a £25 one-course menu daily with vegetarian, vegan and non-vegetarian options and free-flowing Prosecco or Bloody Marys for 90 minutes from sitting down.
Brunch hours: 11am-5pm.
The Ship Inn, Rye
This charming old inn, based in The Strand, has a rich history and lots of character. The breakfasts are very good and include eggs Benedict, kippers, eggs and smoked salmon, and toast. Ingredients are locally sourced, sustainable, organic and seasonal where possible. Dogs are welcome.

The Beach Deck, Eastbourne
Slap bang on the beach in Royal Parade the views, sea air and surroundings of the Beach Deck are hard to beat. Tasty brunch options include avocado and poached egg on sourdough; chorizo hash; and bacon butties. Dogs are welcome inside on one side of the restaurant and outside all day.

The New Club, Brighton
Paradise for brunch fiends, the New Club was inspired by the brunch scene in the US. Tasty options at the King's Road venue include Mexican eggs, pancakes and plenty more.. Wash it down with something from the Hangover Cures menu (such as a Bloody Mary, or a vodka-spiked Hard OJ & Lemonade), as you soak up the sea views.

This is a lively location for brunch on the corner of Ash Lane, with two floors and a terrace outside. There's a great range on the brunch menu, including the Lounge Breakfast, avocado brunch, triple-stacked pancakes and a simple sausage butty. The smoothies are also delightful.

Tom's Food, Cuckfield
Being part of the Nicky C interiors shop in High Street, it's no surprise that this cafe is glorious to look at. But the food is wonderful too. Brunch options include Welsh rarebit, wild boar sausage roll and scrambled egg. Enjoy it with a cup of locally roasted coffee.

Morris and Jacques, Brighton
