Rushfields Plant Centre

This family-run plant centre in Poynings has its very own licensed café serving tea, coffee, cake and homemade scones. If you're after something a bit more filling there are a number of breakfast options available, as well as a variety of lunches from 11.45am to 3pm, including pies, sandwiches and salads.

Stooks

Stooks and its team of chefs have created a seasonal menu full of organic produce, sourced locally. Breakfast is served from 8.30am to 11am with lunch from 12pm and there is sure to be something on the menu to appease your appetite. They cater for those who require gluten-free dishes and can meet any other dietary needs upon request.

Haskins

With its 600-seat restaurant - 140 of those outdoors for warmer days - the restaurant at Haskins has stone-baked pizzas, fish and chips and carvery options on the menu. Afternoon tea is available for £12.95 and they also offer a special deal on two main meals for £12 on Thursday and Friday evenings.

Tastebuds, the coffee shop at this Heathfield-based garden centre, is housed inside a beautiful oak barn with views of the Sussex countryside. The light lunch menu is seasonal and also includes a soup of the day, jacket potato and toasties.

Sussex Country Gardener

This garden centre south of Tunbridge Wells is home to a delightful little café serving warm breakfasts, lunch and a good range of cakes and other snacks. They also use local produce wherever possible.
