Henry’s Bar and Grill, Lytham A large range of grill items of the menu that includes starters of sticky back ribs and devilled spiced chicken wings. The main menu includes sharing steaks and surf and turf options, as well as the 10oz Henry Burger which has an extra topping of cured bacon and Lancashire cheese available. www.henrysbarandgrill.co.uk 5 Henry Street, Lytham, FY8 5LE 01253 737111
The Ferret, Preston The Ferret is mainly known as a live music venue in the student area of Preston but the menu has a decidely American feel to it. All Star Lanes, Deansgate Bowling alleys have a reputation for sticky carpets and bad hotdogs and poor décor. All Star Lanes have padded out their Manchester location in homage to the archetypal 50’s bowling alley with the obligitory dining booths and the menu is filled with all things Americana. . We recommend the ‘King Pin Burger’ with ‘Cured Treacle Bacon’ and of course bowling! www.allstarlanes.co.uk/venues/manchester-deansgate The Great Northern, 235 Deansgate, Manchester, M3 4EN 0161 8273600

Southern 11, Spinningfields While its sister restaurant Neighbourhood is based on the New York style eateries, Southern 11 is very much a southern style barbeque restaurant. In fact it derives its name from the 11 southern US states which inspire much of the menu. www.southern11.co.uk 3 Hardman Street, Spinningfields, Manchester M3 3EB 0161 8320482
