Thames Ditton Farmers’ Market

“Thames Ditton Farmers’ Market celebrates its second birthday in October 2017 and we are delighted to be an awards finalist for the second year running,” says market manager Mick Pearson. “Our farmers’ market is a true community hub, bringing the village together once a month for fun, food and entertainment. Run by volunteers, in addition to a fabulous array of fresh produce from farmers and artisans, we are proud to support local artists and performers with a mission to support Thames Ditton’s independent High Street.”

“It’s amazing to think that our lovely market is now in its eighth year,” says chairman, David Jacobson. “Having established itself as a destination for the very best in local produce, it’s become a real community hub, a place where friends and neighbours can and meet and soak up Maple Road’s villagey atmosphere. Being nominated for an award is a real testament to our spirited volunteers who work relentlessly organising monthly markets and special events and helping raise money for local good causes – over £60,000 so far!”
