On target for conservation

A successful sporting dinner was held at the Inn at Whitewell by the Lancashire branch of the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust, led by chairman Nick Mason.

An exciting auction conducted by Henry Bowring raised almost £12,000 towards the scientific work of the GWCT, which is dedicated to conserving game and other wildlife. Guests were able to enjoy the grouse shooting simulator competition, a delicious game dinner followed by a talk from Teresa Dent, Chief Executive of the GWCT, about the future of the countryside.
