The cream of Hertfordshire industry was out in force at the most prestigous business event in the county – the 19th annual Hertfordshire Business Awards.
The Knebworth House-hosted ceremony, preceded by dinner, live music and comedy, was a sell-out with more than 440 people in attendance. Organised by Archant, publisher of this magazine, in association with KPMG, the event celebrates Herts’ best businesses across a range of sectors and company sizes, judged independently by business peers.
Host Stewart White, presenter of BBC Look East, announced the 16 category winners with Welwyn GC-based recruitment firm Osborne Appointments (pictured) the biggest winner on the night taking both Medium Business and Company of the Year awards. The Hertfordshire Life-sponsored Small Business of the Year title went to Watford-based energy recruitment consultancy Synergi Search and Select.
The evening’s charity, represented by ambassador and actress Lauren Drummond, was Wellchild, which funds home care for seriously ill children. Donations, a prize draw, auction and casino raised more than £4,250 for it.
