Each year, from around January through until March, snowdrops can be seen pushing up through the cold winter soil and transforming our woodlands into white wonderlands. The Mount, Delamore, Ivybridge
For a truly sensational snowdrop experience, this woodland walk boasts thousands of unusual varieties of snowdrops heralding the first signs of spring.
Visitors are welcome on the weekend of February 11th-12th between 10.30am and 3.30pm. Admission £5, children free.

National Trust Killerton
This serene Georgian Mansion and the 2,600 hectares of land that surround it were given to the National Trust in 1944 and since then it has developed into one of the county's best locations to see a variety of plant life.

Saltram House, Plympton
Enjoy a winter walk amongst the snowdrops throughout January and February, within this stunning setting overlooking the River Plym. Saltram House is a National Trust building, which provides a green oasis of tranquillity away from Plymouth's city centre located close by. Here you can soak in the beauty of winter's white bloom, with snowdrops framing the pathways around the gardens.

Higher Cherubeer, Dolton
With over 400 snowdrop varieties, this is a prime spot to bear witness to one of nature's purest delights. The annual 'whitewashing' of our woodland areas never fails in igniting hope and joy through the dark winter months.
Here at Higher Cherubeer you are able to enjoy a fine array of snowdrops, including a collection of home-cultivated species. Days of opening are as follows: February 3rd, February 10th and February 18th. Admission is £5.00 for adults and free for children.

The church of St. Raphael's Huccaby and Hexworthy, central Dartmoor
You can visit this little treasure deep within the enchanting Dartmoor landscape at any time of year, however it is in February that the outside grounds are transformed by a carpet of snowdrops.
The magic of new life emerging from the earth's wintery depths is reflected in the tranquillity of the place, which is located close to the West Dart River.

Yealmpton, South Hams

The Garden House, Buckland Monachorum
Open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday throughout January and until 12th March, giving visitors a chance to enjoy the annual display of these early spring buds.

Escot Park, Ottery St. Mary
Just half an hour's drive off the north side of the A30, this wildlife conservation park is a haven for snowdrops at this time of year.
Areas of woodland within the 220 acres surrounding the picturesque historic mansion become a magnificent carpet of snowdrops. With so much to do and see beyond the snowdrops, the area is perfect for a full family day out.
