Amberley Castle is celebrating following news it has been awarded three AA rosettes.

In receiving the award, the Sussex hotel has become one of just 10% of AA rated restaurants across the UK to achieve three AA rosettes. The award recognises “outstanding restaurants that achieve standards that demand recognition well beyond their local area, with cooking underpinned by the selection and sympathetic treatment of the highest quality ingredients. Timing, seasoning and the judgement of flavour combinations are consistently excellent”.

Robby Jenks, Executive Head Chef at Amberley Castle commented, “My approach at Amberley Castle is to use great techniques, creating a simple but perfect dining experience, where I want to take great ingredients and cook them well. We’ve had great feedback from our guests over the year, and the team and I are delighted that AA have recognised us too”.

Part of the luxury Andrew Brownsword Hotels group, Amberley Castle’s sister hotel in the Cotswolds, Buckland Manor, was also awarded three AA rosettes at the same ceremony on Monday 22 September. The two luxury properties join sister hotels The Bath Priory and Lower Slaughter Manor in holding three rosettes, with Gidleigh Park retaining its five AA rosette status.

Jason Carruthers, CEO, Andrew Brownsword Hotels, commented, “This is great recognition for our teams and well deserved. Now, holding at least three AA Rosettes for each of our country house properties, in addition to all being an Inspector’s Choice Hotel with at least four AA Red Stars each, we’re able to really position our group as the first choice for a luxurious UK gourmet break. Amberley Castle has been known for its great dining for some time, and with this award, the reputation of Robby and his team will entice a new wave of customers to travel to Sussex to sample Amberley Castle’s great cuisine, as well as give a new reason to welcome back our regular guests”.

Two course midweek lunch menus start from just £20.50 per person at Amberley Castle. For further information visit www.amberleycastle.co.uk or call 01798 831992.
