Hundreds of walkers, including some very special guests, pounded the pavements of Southampton recently as they took part in the inaugural Celebrity SunWalk. This unique event, which set off and ended in Mayflower Park, was hosted alongside the naming ceremony and launch of sponsor Celebrity Cruises’ stunning new ship Celebrity Eclipse. Joining the walkers and volunteers were a host of celebrities, sports stars and entertainers. Wave 105’s presenter Simon Clarke, along with cheeky TV decorating duo Colin and Justin, helped the walkers – many dressed in dazzlingly decorated, sailing inspired bras – warm up to take part in Power Walking challenges of 5 or 10 kilometers.
