Ian Lloyd, President of the Clitheroe Chamber of Trade and Commerce, gave an upbeat assessment of business prospects in the Ribble Valley at the organisation’s annual ball, staged at the Stirk House Hotel.
He told more than 150 guests, including civic heads, politicans and business leaders from around the region, that after a difficult trading period there were now many positive signs. He added later: ‘Clitheroe is the jewel in the crown of the Ribble Valley and the Ribble Valley is the jewel of east Lancashire.’ Photography by Andrew Hale
