Knelle Dower B&B is amongst a select group of just 25 finalists to have reached the exacting standards established by AA Inspectors and has been chosen from over 2,300 B&Bs within the UK.

Collecting their accolade at the annual AA Hospitality Awards ceremony at London’s Landmark Hotel, Bettina commented: “We were pleasantly shocked when we were nominated. As a small B&B with just one unit it’s an amazing achievement to be considered on a peer-to-peer basis with the best B&Bs in the country.”

Unlike other B&Bs, guests won’t encounter any other visitors during their stay and can really wind down and relax in their own space. Situated a short distance from the main Knelle Dower house this charming, self-contained converted barn embraces calm, peace and luxury; giving it a high end holiday cottage feel but with 5* bed and breakfast service.

Ideal as a romantic hide away or a weekend retreat from a busy life, Knelle Dower Studio is the ultimate destination for a couple celebrating a special occasion or just as an escape to enjoy their own space in picture-perfect surroundings and blissful seclusion.

With its chic interior design combining a traditional and contemporary style, the Studio offers an open plan bedroom with a super king sized bed dressed with fine Egyptian cotton, as well as a light and airy living area, all housed under a vaulted, beamed ceiling. All mod cons are included: a Nespresso coffee machine, luxurious linen and towels, a widescreen Freeview TV and fresh milk and soft drinks in the fridge, to name but a few.

On a sunny evening, guests can enjoy stunning local views on the terrace. And, of course, look forward to a delicious, unhurried and informal breakfast each morning in the main Knelle Dower house, a beautiful 15th Century timber-framed Tudor building.

Located near the medieval town of Rye, Knelle Dower Studio attracts visitors from around the world. Trips to Great Dixter Gardens, Pashley Manor and Sissinghurst Castle, as well as the stunning beaches of Camber and Winchelsea are an enjoyable way to spend the day.

Bettina comments: “We like to offer unexpected touches, so just let us know if you’re celebrating something special. We can make sure that champagne, flowers or birthday cakes greet your arrival and pre-order vouchers or tickets to local attractions”.
