This year’s Emma Maltby Midsummer Ball romped past the post at Wetherby Racecourse to raise 8,000.

More than 200 guests enjoyed a champagne reception followed by a three-course meal, a charity auction – including a corporate golf day for 30 at Wetherby Golf Club – and dancing until the early hours to Big J & The Piccolo Chickens.

The Emma Maltby Memorial Fund was set up in 2003 in memory of father and daughter Peter Rawson and Emma Maltby, who both died of cancer at a young age, 47 and 38 respectively. To find out more about this family-run charity, visit www.emmamaltbymemorialfund.org.uk.
