1) Fireworks party at North Weald Airfield- November 2

Starts: 6pm

Tickets: £5 per adult and £3 per child if purchased in advance

Highlights: Family funfair and an array of food stalls

2) King Coel's Kittens Fireworks Spectacular in Castle Park, Colchester - November 5

Starts: 6pm

Tickets: Adults £9.50, 4-15 years £4.50 and under-4s free

Highlights: Fireworks in the surrounds of one of Colchester's most historic sites

3) The Great Burnham Bonfire at St Mary the Virgin - November 2

Starts: 6pm (TBC)

Tickets: Free! Bring a large firework with you or scrap wood for the bonfire

Highlights: A display where everyone chips in to do their bit!

4) Clacton-on-Sea Fireworks - November 2

Starts: Usually between 8 and 9.30pm but weather dependent

Tickets: Free!

Highlights: Takes place on the pier so its bowling arcade and boardwalk bar will be available

5) Billericay Charity Bonfire & Fireworks Spectacular at Lake Meadows Park - November 2

Starts: 5:30pm

Tickets: £7 adults, £5 children

Highlights: Typically a sell-out event so expect a fantastic atmosphere

6) Big Beach Bang at East Beach Shoeburyness - November 2

Starts: 5.45pm

Tickets: £6 in advance

Highlights: 100% of money raised goes to charity and it takes place right on the beach!

7) Dunmow's Fantastic Fireworks Display - November 2

Starts: 6:15pm

Tickets: £6 for adults and £4 for kids if bought in advance

Highlights: Lots of modern music to go with the fireworks and an improved BBQ

Starts: 5pm

Tickets: Free and £5 for parking

Highlights: Lighting up the sky above West Mersea

Highlights: Big Head parade and torch bearers

10) Stratford St Mary Community Display - November 2

Starts: 6pm

Tickets: £5 adults, £1 for under-14s, under-3s free

Highlights: Hog roast and everything goes towards supporting the local community

11) Guy Fawkes Fireworks at Royal Gunpowder Mills - November 2 and 3

Starts: 2pm

Tickets: £10.50 adults, under-16s £8.50

Highlights: Science shows, short theatre production and fireworks from Force FX

12) Essex's Largest Free Fireworks Display, Harrow Lodge, Hornchurch - November 9 - 10

Starts: 2pm Saturday and 1pm Sunday

Tickets: Free

Highlights: All funfair rides are half price on Sunday
