A charity boxing evening at the Park Royal Hotel in Stretton raised much-needed funds for injured soldiers and their families.
The event was organised by Warrington firefighters Nigel Spencer and Stuart Annis, whose brother Simon and three comrades were killed by a bomb in Afghanistan. Simon’s family want to raise �100,000 for the Fusilier Aid Society.
The ten bouts were staged mainly by firefighters from the stations and between contests the guests were entertained by the band of the Royal Fusiliers and Britain’s Got Talent finalist, Les Gibson.
