On Friday 6th December, Pittville Pump Room in Cheltenham will host Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice's Winter Ball, which promises a night of glitz and glamour whilst offering the unique opportunity to give back to your local community by raising vital funds for the hospice.

It's a big fundraiser for Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice, which is home to the only hospice inpatient unit in the county; in the past four years it has raised just under £100,000, which could fund an incredible 5,263 hours of expert and compassionate care for local families who have a loved one with a terminal illness.

The evening offers a drinks reception, gourmet three course meal, exclusive auction under the expert hammer of TV's auctioneer Philip Allwood and exclusive Diamond Champagne Raffle from R.J Spicer Goldsmith where a diamond worth £1,000 could be won when buying a glass of champagne.

Elise Hoadley, Hospice Director said, "With Christmas just around the corner many people will be starting to make plans on how to celebrate the best of the season with friends, family, colleagues or clients. Our Winter Ball in the prestigious surroundings of Pittville Pump Room offers a really special way to celebrate, whilst providing the 'feel good factor' of giving back to your local community through supporting local families needing our care".

"Whether that's a terminal illness, the loss of a loved one or a neurological condition - we're there when it matters. Our care is given free of charge but it costs £10,000 every day to keep our services running and make sure our Sue Ryder Nurses, doctors, carers and specialist and support teams can give their expert and compassionate care. By celebrating with us at our Winter Ball, you'll be helping us continue be there."

Lesley Hawthorne attended Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice's Winter Ball last year and has already secured tickets for this year's event. She said, "Last year's event left us with the festive feeling we'd done something good for our local community. It's is an elegant event with a wonderful atmosphere, and we're really looking forward to being there again this year to celebrate the festive season with friends at such a high profile glittering occasion."

Individual tickets cost £90 with tables of ten available for £850 with further bespoke table packages available. For more information call 01242 246 162 or email Leckhampton.events@sueryder.org. Find out more about the Winter Ball here.
