Phil Morgan and Rob Stoyle, Partners of Helmores Estate Agents, team agency in Crediton, Devon, wish to thank the local community in the town and the surrounding areas, who supported the agency in raising money for Children in Need. With a busy High Street office open seven days a week, Phil, Rob and the staff began their fundraising activities on Sunday and by the end of Friday, the Helmores team had raised nearly �1,200 for the charity.
George Clover, Senior Negotiator jumped on his bike and cycled a full marathon of 26 miles - he was seen passing through Copplestone, Lapford, Morchard Bishop, Newbuildings, West Sandford, Sandford, Shobrooke and Uton finishing up back in the office in Crediton.
Rob Stoyle ran a half marathon during Friday afternoon, running his way through eight hamlets and villages served by the agency. He was joined en-route by staff members Natalie Bragg, Loren Eginton, Georgina Davie and Ian Blanchford, who between them covered the distance of a full marathon (26miles).
Phil put the official BBC Children in Need fundraising pack to good use by selling entries into the two Pudsey competitions provided. Employees of local businesses, visitors to the agency and others took part in the ‘Take off with Pudsey’ and ‘Where will Pudsey’s Balloon Land’ competitions at an increased amount of �5 per guess with awards of champagne for the winners. A member of the team at the Crediton Courier chose the correct balloon string and an employee of local solicitors’ practice, Charlesworth Nicholl, guessed where the balloon would land, bagging the tasty prizes.
Rob said: “Phil and I are absolutely thrilled that our office has helped to raise nearly �1,200 for such a worthwhile cause. We’re extremely proud of the team at Helmores and would like to extend a huge thanks to everyone for getting involved and making it a huge success. We all really appreciate the support and the money we received from friends, family and associates, local businesses and the wider the community. It’s great to have pulled together for such a worthwhile cause.”
