Hundreds of people turned on the glamour to celebrate the life of a 17-year-old whose life was tragically cut short last year following a cardiac arrest. Friends and family of Jordan Grant, as well as the teenager’s idol, Preston North End star Graham Alexander, were among the guests at the fundraiser held at Westleigh Conference Centre, Lea.

The occasion, which included performances from singer Stephen Bayliss and comedian and compere Pete Emmett, was organised to celebrate Jordan’s 18th birthday, which would have taken place the next day. It was also held to raise much needed funds for the Jordan Grant Memorial Fund to pay for mobile heart screening units for local children. More than 8,000 was raised which will pay for two full days screening.
