Borough Green-based H+H UK Ltd, which produces aircrete blocks, was named as Kent Environment Business of the Year 2010 at a black tie awards ceremony held at Salomon’s, near Tunbridge Wells. Hosted by Geoff Clark of BBC Radio Kent, the Environment Awards for Kent Business recognise the environmental work undertaken by Kent companies as well as rewarding those that have had a positive impact in the community. Theme awards were also presented to Skillnet Group Community Interest Company, Nordic Recycling Ltd, Geo-Mole Ltd, Ashford International Hotel and Directline Structures Ltd. The Awards are sponsored by Kent County Council – represented by Nick Chard, Cabinet Minister for Environment, Highways and Waste – plus BSK-CiC, E.ON, the Environment Agency and the Kent Messenger Group.
