Kent Life celebrated the eight finalists in its inaugural Garden of the Year competition at a very special tea party held at Hadlow College’s Broadview Tearooms. Guests, who included judges Roger Platts, Amanda Cottrell, Sarah Morgan and Leigh Clapp, plus key personnel from Kent Life and sponsors Hadlow College and Ruxley Manor Garden Centre, mingled with the excited finalists and enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea together prepared by the Broadview team before the winners were announced. Sarah Sturt, editor of Kent Life, said how delighted she and her fellow judges had been with the standard of entries. Presenting awards to six runners up across the two categories and the two overall winners, she encouraged everyone who entered the 2010 competition to do so next year.
