King’s School parents showed their team spirit when they raised 8,000 for the Macclesfield school’s Sport Now fund.
A dinner dance at the Tytherington Club brought the running total to 31,000, as the parents seek to raise 150,000 to contribute to a new all weather pitch and Astroturf at King’s Girls’ and Junior Divisions at the Fence Avenue site.
Organiser Melanie Toms said: ‘The Sport Now project is building up momentum and we have all been thrilled and delighted by the support of the parents.’
