MORE than 6,000 people attended the Ladies Evening race meeting at Fontwell Park . The fixture, which grows in popularity every year, coincided with the opening of the new �6.5m 888sport Premier Grandstand. As well as six races, there was much interest in the Best Dressed Lady competition. More than 300 ladies entered and the �2000 cash prize went to Vicki Bradford, a veterinary nurse from Westergate. After racing there was a live performance from The Magic of Take That and a fireworks display off the roof of the Grandstand.The next fixture at Fontwell Park is the Irish Race Day on Saturday 2nd October. The meeting is also a charity day supported by Southern Water.
