Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Days of snow-filled fun have been promised for half term in Cheltenham, whatever the weather decides to do outside.

Cheltenham Art Gallery & Museum is staging an exhibition of snow-inspired artwork by local schoolchildren at The Gardens Gallery in Montpellier from Sunday 12 February until Friday 16 February.

And throughout the week, there will be free drop-in art activities as well as ticketed workshops all with a snow theme.

On Tuesday and Thursday, there is the chance to make your own snow globe, while on Wednesday, music practitioner Malaki Paterson will be leading workshops to create music inspired by ice and snow. Tickets for these events are available from the Tourist Information Centre in the Promenade, telephone 01242 522878 (2.50 for snow globes and 4.50 for Ice Music).

Education & Outreach Officer Faye Little explains, “Children from Swindon Village Primary School worked with artist Imogen Harvey-Lewis to create art work inspired by the Polar landscapes. Everyone is welcome to come and view the exhibition and to take part in the activities on offer.”
