The Grey Shed brings a taste of Scandi style to a secret corner of North Yorkshire. In the pretty village of Crayke, this cool converted barn is close to some of North Yorkshire’s foodie hotspots. Acclaimed gastropub, The Durham Ox , is in the village itself, while you can get a taste of Michelin-star food at the nearby Black Swan at Oldstead, headed up by superstar chef Tommy Banks. Yorkshire’s ‘food capital’, Malton is just short drive away as is the charming market town of Easingwold. The stunningly designed contemporary barn is a real ‘away from it all’ retreat –complete with your very own meadow! The interior is a combination of rustic and Scandinavian-style simplicity. The Crittall style windows at the front of the property ensure that the Shed is well lit, creating an airy and energetic atmosphere. The spacious, open-plan, double height space stretches 30ft up to the huge skylights. On the ground floor is a lounge/kitchen living space. The lounge area has a smart tv and large loaf sofa, perfect for reclining in front of the log fire after a long day out on the hills. The DeVol kitchen is well equipped and comes with a dishwasher, coffee machine, Smeg fridge/freezer, and a vintage workbench island.
