Manchester High School for Girls held a spectacular fundraising ball at the Hilton Hotel Deansgate. The event raised over �20,000 for the school’s Pankhurst Bursary Appeal.
The 250 guests were treated to entertainment and an auction hosted by Coronation Street’s Craig Charles. Prizes ranged from signed Wayne Rooney and Carlos Tevez football boots, to a day on the set of Coronation Street. The star lot was a handwritten, signed poem by the current Poet Laureate, Carol Ann Duffy.
