AROUND �5,000 was raised in aid of Marie Curie at a fundraising ball held at the Stirk House Hotel in Gisburn. The 270 guests enjoyed a selection of party games as well as dinner. One lucky guest even won a diamond in their glass of champagne.Photography by Sara Cuff
