I love that in a world that changes every day, this view hasn’t changed at all. My journey to work on this road is exactly the same as it was when I was going to school all those years ago. I always think of this view when people say Norfolk is flat. Okay, so we don’t have mountains, but we do boast incredible undulating fields, and our farmers do such a wonderful job; it’s great to see the immaculate plough furrows or the golden corn just before harvest.

My job really is the perfect role for someone who loves Norfolk as much as I do. Over the past 10 years, the Norfolk Food and Drink Festival has developed into the largest event of its kind in the UK. However, as we enter our second decade, we have decided the time is right for a significant re-brand – Norfolk Food & Drink Limited. Although our objectives as a not-for-profit organisation supporting the food and drink industry will not change, we will do so all year rather than restricting activities to six weeks in the autumn. The fabulous programme of events will include old favourites such as Battle of the Bangers, Lloyd Addison’s Moveable Feast and Porkstock, as well as newer events such as Dining in the Dark, the Pop Up Restaurant at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and Walk With A Fork.
