Hove-based online accountancy practice Crunch marked National Freelancers Day on Wednesday 23 November by hosting a free event for local freelancers and contractors at the Terraces bar on Brighton seafront.

It also marked the news of a substantial growth in UK freelancers, following research by Crunch, who are aimed at freelancers, contractors and micro-businesses and the PCG.

Darren Fell, MD and owner of Crunch commented: "It's great to be able to celebrate with locals, many of whom are Crunch clients. Brighton also has double the national average of freelancers so it's been a great opportunity for some networking over a well deserved drink."

The party was co-sponsored by official freelancing body the PCG and supported by Wired Sussex.
