Owner and manager Razak Helalat aims to have the best grilled meat and fish restaurant on the South coast, cooking good quality, local, sustainable, ingredients over real charcoal.
They have invested in a grill imported from Spain, which they say is the only one in Sussex fuelled by charcoal alone. This generates heats of up to 500 degrees celsius. The intensity and the taste from the burning charcoal keep the meat and fish succulent and full of flavour
The Coal Shed restaurant is on Boyces Street, between Middle Street and West Street.
