Portland is inviting you to explore a magical walking trail that will light up the night
Over the weekend of 22 – 24 March (6.30-9.30pm) homes and business across Portland will be putting colourful displays in windows and gardens for ‘Window Wanderland’. Last year over 70 homes took part in this illuminating community event that saw all kinds of visual delights - from a decorated phone box full of underwater creatures to a teddy bear disco.
The national cultural event, founded by Lucy Reeves Khan, has been transforming UK streets in mid-winter since 2015 and encourages everyone to have a go at lighting up their neighbourhood; what is in the windows is up to you. The Portland event is launched with a Lantern Parade on Friday evening. Find more at windowwanderland.com (click on Portland).
