Handbags were dotted like jewels amongst vintage china, candy-coloured cupcakes and retro canaps as Brighton boutique Pretty Eccentric celebrated its first birthday and the opening of a second store in Bath.It was a rain-sodden November evening, but that didn't matter as Brighton's social peacocks, who wouldn't let a hurricane get in the way of a good party, were out in force. It was a thoroughly glamorous evening and guests enjoyed copious amounts of Perrier Jouet champagne whilst perusing the latest collection of quirky boutique labels and vintage finds. Exquisite lace dresses and silk kimonos brushed shoulders with opulently beaded eveningwear. Local artist, dandy and eccentric Peter Gosbee, wearing an extraordinary customised top hat, delighted in showing off his exclusive pendants and cufflinks made of Victorian artefacts. The Pretty Eccentric styling team shared expert tips and everyone had fun creating wearable unique vintage inspired looks.
