Medicine Garden, Cobham

Once a derelict and almost forgotten Victorian walled garden, The Medicine Garden has been transformed in recent years for everyone one from avid foodies (two cafés plus the Blid & Hatton food studio) to those looking to explore yoga, pilates and even tai chi. It’s a perfect place to relax and recuperate. They are hosting a spring fayre on Bank Holiday Monday May 1. Tickets: entry is free.

Petersham Nurseries, Richmond

Long a favourite of the area’s rich and famous, as well as those in the know, who know what a tranquil oasis it is, Petersham Nurseries has a magical quality. Lunch in The Café, surrounded by stunning spring blooms, is one for ‘the must do soon list’. Tickets: entry is free

Priory Farm, South Nutfield
