Members of the Arlington Road community in Eastbourne joined together for a Royal Wedding street party
One hundred and fifty members of the Arlington Road community in Eastbourne joined together for a Royal Wedding street party, which included music, salsa, games, food, bagpipes and even the occasional glass of wine. The event was opened by Eastbourne and Willingdon MP Stephen Lloyd who happily agreed to keep his speech to a minimum provided he could negotiate an extra piece of cake. Party organiser Rod Pizzey said “What a day. Arlington Road has always been a friendly place, but I think today we all got to know each other even better. Here’s to the next one.” Everyone agreed it was a day to remember.
