VISITESSEX are inviting both residents of the county and tourists to get on their bike and see Essex differently. This year's outdoor campaign aims to encourage visitors to take short breaks and holidays in Essex through a series of cycling and walking guides. With the longest coastline in the UK and more than 3,800 miles of public rights of way, Essex offers the perfect destination for an invigorating escape from it all. There are five cycling guides and five walking guides that explore locations across the county giving even those that already know and love the area the chance to see it from a different perspective. Each guide has a detailed map that gives a choice of routes of varying distance, highlights places of interest and includes suggestions for accommodation and places to eat.Essex Life has been given an exclusive opportunity to publish two of these guides; around Chelmsford and Maldon and Colchester and Dedham. The full selection of guides are available at www.visitessex.com, by calling 0845 600 7373 or by visiting one of the Essex tourist information centres. The Routes
