The new Aston Martin Rapide was launched last month at the Derby dealership, Stratstone’s Sir Frank Whittle Way showroom. This was one of a series of nationwide events to launch the new high performance coup�, which has a six litre V12 engine and six speed Touchtronic transmission. The Stratstone team, led by dealer principal Carl Chambers, were joined by Lindsay Black, Aston Martin’s General Manager of UK Operations and the event attracted visitors from across the East Midlands – as far afield as Lincoln. A number of local businesses supported the event including B&O Derby, Canopy of Sadler Gate and Sim Sport UK Ltd of Ashbourne with their unique interactive race simulator. Andrew Cope of Cope Jewellers in Nottingham was demonstrating the Jaeger-LeCoultre range of watches designed to complement the car – the AMVOX watch face matches the instrument dials on the Rapide’s dashboard.
